Hot chocolate soothes many ails of the soul.

Writing this was cathartic for me given how the campaign these comics used to be based on fell apart. It really was fun in the beginning but by the time I left, it felt like I had no say in the world or my character, that nothing I roleplayed or rolled on the dice would ever make a difference. I miss those early times but they were long gone and there was no point sticking around hoping they would return.

I like to think the best parts of the campaign live on in the comics. Of course they’re much more explicitly Ryybyn-centric now but I still have the help of two other former players with writing the scripts and even doing roleplays to become scenes like this one! I wanna carry on those good vibes of helping each other as a team and doing silly stuff together.
